My name is Tisha Trevino and I'm classified as a senior at Texas State University. I graduate from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication in the fall of 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations, and a minor in communication studies. Currently, I am the special events coordinator for the Student Event Planners Association (SEPA), an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), a Promotions Assistant intern at the University's radio station KTSW, and involved in the University's Honors Program.
Before enrolling at Texas State, I attended Lone Star College in Houston. While working on my degree, I worked as a receptionist at Don McGill Toyota, where I supported the company's business office. In addition, I was a Care Manager at Sunrise Senior Living, providing care to the senior residents. To continue my education, I moved to San Marcos for school during fall 2008.
I traveled to France during the summer 2009, where I enrolled in honors courses, and directly experienced French culture. I have taken classes in a variety of subjects and have maintained honor roll status throughout my college career with at least a 3.5 grade point average.
I have experience with promotions and marketing, which helped guide my focus into public relations. Upon graduation, I plan to apply my knowledge in a PR agency, or work for a corporation.
Here is a list of some of my favorite things, in order:
- Chocolate
- Working out
- Thanksgiving
