My hobbies
Anything that has to do with being physically active is what I wake up for in the morning. I enjoy going to sporting events, jogging, exercising or just being outdoors on a sunny day.
This is my second semester working for the campus' radio station, KTSW 89.9, and I absolutely LOVE it. I was a reporter my first semester, and have progressed into the Promotions team. We host the Lunchbox concert series, the new George's late night concerts, we work tailgates and promote at campus events. Every Spring we host Mr. Fest, which stands for My Radio Festival. It is a free multi-venue music festival that is HUGE in the San Marcos community. Each year Mr. Fest is bigger and better, and this year with more bands and venues than in the past. Currently, we are booking bands, vendors and welcoming sponsorships for the two-day event. If you have any ideas that could possibly help MR. Fest be even more awesome, I want to hear all about it.
My major is public relations, so I am given the opportunity to meet famous professionals in the Mass Media environment. Recently, I met John Quinones from abc 20/20's "What Would You Do?" I mentioned my major in my hobbies page because I eat, sleep, dream and constantly think PR, it's pretty much expected. :o)
